Bruins drop the last game of their road trip in heart breaking fashion to Minnesota. Tuukka Rask and Devan Dubnyk were in a battle all night long as each net minder played out of their mind. As expected this game was all defensive and close-knit to the end. Both teams had multiple scoring chances but were denied by the respected goaltenders. Dubnyk had a late save on a Matt Beleskey break away and Rask had 2 big saves on Pominville near the doorstep all alone. The Bruins had a goal that was called back in the 2nd period from David Backes. It was tied 0-0 going into the depths of the game as not even a minute left the Wild scored the game winner. It was an unfortunate break for the Bruins as Mikael Granlund’s shot went off of Adam McQuaid and passed Rask. The Wild improve to 9-6-1 on the season as they sweep the Bruins in the season series. The Bruins fall to 10-7-0, but take 2 out of 3 games on the road trip as they head back to home ice. Rask made 28 saves but unfortunately gets the loss in this one. Dubnyk makes 25 saves and earns a well deserved shutout. The Bruins got outshot by the Wild 29-25.
