1. The Montreal Canadiens are atop the Atlantic Division showing no signs of being knocked off their perch. Even though going 3-5-2 in their last 10, they have played 55 games to this point and are toting 68 points. Boasting the best home record in the division at 18-6-4 with a road record of 12-11-4. S/O they are 1-2
  2. The Ottawa Senators have played 51 games but look like the closest threat to Montreal, only an eight-point differential with 60 points. They’ve posted impressive records both home and away. Home 14-8-6 and away 13-10-0. They hold a S/O record of 4-1 and 5-3-2 in their last ten showings. 
  3. The Toronto Maple Leafs Sit in third place. Have played only 52 games with 60 points, posting a 4-4-2 in their last 10. They boast a winning home record of 13-8-3 and 12-9-7 on the road but are a lowly 1-6 in S/O.
  4. The Boston Bruins are in need of an identity. After the public outrage at firing Coach Claude Julien, they find themselves in fourth place.  The B’s play four more games than Toronto with 58 points going 4-5-1 in their last ten games. Ten points separate them from Montreal. They’re only two points behind Ottawa, but like Toronto, have played five more games. The Bruins have Posted an underwhelming home record of 12-13-0, but the best road record at 14-10-6 in the Atlantic Division . They are 2-2 in S/O and lost their last two games coming off All Star break.
  5. The Florida Panthers after 52 games are only two points behind Boston and Toronto with 56 points. They own a 14-9-3 home record and a 9-10-7 road record, are 5-3-2 in their last ten games winning their last three. They are 3-5 in S/O.
  6. The Buffalo Sabres through 53 games with 54 points posting a home record of 13-8-4 and a road record of 9-13-6. They are 1-5 in S/O and 5-4-1 in their last ten games.
  7. The Detroit Red Wings have played 53 games and have 54 points while posting a 11-12-5 home record and 11-9-5 on the road. They are a perfect 6-0 in the S/O category thanks in part to Frans Nielson. They are 4-2-4 in their last ten games.
  8. The Tampa Bay Lightning played 54 games and have 54 points while posting a home record of 14-9-3 and a road record of 10-14-4. They are 3-2 on the S/O and are 4-4-2 in their last ten games.
