On Thursday, January 12th, at 8PM ET, the Boston Bruins (22-17-5) will face off against the Nashville Predators (18-16-7). This concludes the Bruins four-game road trip. After visiting the Panthers, Hurricanes and Blues, the Bs have earned five out of six possible points. While they still have a handful of games over the next closest teams in the division, they currently sit 2nd in the Atlantic with 49 points. They will look to finish this road trip on a high note after an impressive 5-3 victory over St. Louis on Tuesday.

NEED TO KNOW: BRUINS

Yes, the Bruins looked strong in their Tuesday win over the Blues. ¬†However the two points came at a price. Defensemen Adam McQuaid and Collin Miller were both injured and did not return. This left the D-bench shorthanded and could play a role in tonight’s game. Miller is confirmed not to play tonight and McQuaid will play as long as everything goes as planned. On the positive side, the offense seemed to find their form and recently named All-Star, Brad Marchand, extended his point streak to four games (five goals, two assists). Every game continues to matter, so hopefully the B’s will continue to find the back of the net and go back to Boston with seven out of eight points from this road trip.

Need to know: Predators

Nashville is currently out of the playoff picture in the West. They sit four points behind St. Louis in the Central Division and only one point out of the Wild Card spot. Injuries have hurt the Preds so far this season and their standing in the West shows that. Their last game was also on Tuesday night with a big OT victory over the Canucks. They will definitely look to build momentum off that late win and keep moving in the right direction.
