Twelve women from Massachusetts General Hospital, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and through the NFL’s Crucial Catch Partnership with Dannon, were spoiled and surprised at the Patriots’ Day of Pampering. The women began their day with breakfast in a stadium suite. Next, they took part in a light yoga class, got massages and manicures. Then, as they ate lunch, team owner, Robert Kraft stopped by to talk with the women. He wanted to let them know that it “is a great honor for us to have you here”. Kraft surprised them with an invitation to Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
After lunch, the women made their way to the Gillette Stadium field to wrap up their day. As they took pictures and videos of the view, sharing these special moments with each other, there was one more surprise running towards them. It was none other than Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. The women were able to spend some time with Brady and Gronk, taking photos and getting autographs and sharing hugs.
Katie Marvinney was excited to participate in this day. “I just feel so fortunate for the Patriots and the Kraft family. I can’t believe it. I kept thinking, ‘Is this all for me?’ I can’t believe it. It’s been the best day ever….I just feel so lucky.” For these women, this day was about being able to just relax, enjoy the day and make happy memories with their favorite team.
