The Bruins will be in Toronto tonight to take on Auston Matthews and the Maple Leafs. The Black and Gold won their season opener against Columbus on Thursday, and will look to get to 2-0 on the standings tonight. The B’s will be without Patrice Bergeron for the second straight game as he battles a lower-body injury.
Where to watch:
Arena: Air Canada Centre in Toronto at 7 pm ET
TV: NESN, NBCSN
Radio: 98.5 The Sports Hub
Live stream: NHL.tv
Bruins projected lineup:
Ryan Spooner – David Krejci – Danton Heinen
Brad Marchand – David Backes – David Pastrnak
Matt Beleskey – Austin Czarnik – Jimmy Hayes
Dominic Moore – Riley Nash – Noel Acciari
Zdeno Chara – Brandon Carlo
Torey Krug – Rob O’Gara
John-Michael Liles – Colin Miller
Scratched: Patrice Bergeron, Joe Morrow, Tim Schaller
Who to watch:
Rookie defensemen Brandon Carlo and Rob O’Gara both struggled in the first period against the Blue Jackets the other night, but both were very good in the final two periods. They both have spots in the top-four (as of right now), and it will be interesting to see if they play well enough to keep those spots.
Brad Marchand had a five-point night on Thursday (two goals, three assists) and looked like a magician with the puck in the second and third periods. Marchand stepped up in the season opener as the B’s were without arguably their best player in Patrice Bergeron. Look to him to lead the way again tonight.
Maple Leafs projected roster:
William Nylander – Auston Matthews – Zach Hyman
James van Riemsdyk – Tyler Bozak – Mitch Marner
Milan Michalek – Nazem Kadri – Leo Komarov
Matt Martin – Peter Holland – Connor Brown
Martin Marincin – Morgan Rielly
Jake Gardiner – Connor Carrick
Matt Hunwick – Nikita Zaitsev
Scratched: Frank Corrado, Seth Griffith, Roman Polak
